Seth Riojas

Senior Pastor

Born and raised in the Silicon Valley of California, Seth grew up in church, and accepted Christ as his Saviour as a fifteen year old.  Seth felt a greater desire for the things of God during this time and began to establish a deeper relationship with God. Upon high school graduation, Seth enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving nearly seven years.

Upon completion of his military service, Seth moved to Modesto, California, where he joined an independent Baptist church and began to volunteer in various ministries, including youth pastor for eight years. Following his time in Modesto, he moved to Chico, California, to serve full time on church staff. While there he served in various capacities, including children's ministry leader, Sunday School teacher, bus driver, as well as overseeing the church grounds and maintenance department. He also taught in the Christian school as a high school teacher.

In 2014, Seth married his wife, Malinda, and together they have been blessed with a son, Seth Jr.  

On June 16, 2024, our church voted unanimously to call Bro. Seth Riojas to pastor! We are thrilled for how God has brought them to Downtown Baptist Church!
